creosote (wild chaparral oil)
creosote / wild chaparral oil – 5 mL roll-on
clear glass bottle with stainless steel rollerball
This oil captures the unmistakable scent and spirit of the desert after rain. Made with creosote bush (Larrea tridentata) I harvest myself in the Sonoran desert and slow-infuse in fractionated coconut oil, it serves as both a focused botanical support oil and a natural desert perfume—green, smoky, and unmistakably wild.
Traditionally used to support:
• Minor cuts, scrapes, and scratches
• Bug bites, rashes, and fungal spots
• Sun exposure, dryness, and rough patches
• General skin resilience in harsh or arid environments
Ingredients:
Wildcrafted Larrea tridentata (creosote bush/wild chaparral) infused in fractionated coconut oil, additional creosote leaves, flowers, and twigs for enhanced aroma and potency
Each batch is infused for at least one full moon cycle—more often than not, much longer—until it reaches a deep green hue and resin-rich aroma.
How to Use:
Apply directly to clean, dry skin as needed. May be used on bug bites, burns, scratches, or rough patches—or as a pulse-point perfume. Avoid the eye area and open wounds.
Safety & Considerations:
For external use only. Patch test recommended.
Due to the potency of Larrea tridentata, avoid use on animals unless approved by a qualified veterinarian.
As with all plant-based preparations, discontinue use if irritation occurs.
About the maker:
I’ve been practicing herbalism, plantcraft, and wildcrafting for over 30 years—across the Canadian prairies, Pacific Northwest woodlands, the high deserts of the Southwest, and the coastal chaparral of Southern California. Every formulation I make is rooted in firsthand experience with plants in their own ecosystems and traditional uses.
